Mental Health

and

Wellbeing

We all know that health is important, but many of us concentrate on our physical rather than mental health. Overlooking our mental wellbeing can result in feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and discontented. Which can, in turn, lead to more severe health issues such as depression, insomnia and generalised anxiety. The importance of nourishing our mental health is evident in numerous studies.

Through personal and professional experience Agnes has seen the negative impacts of mental health being neglected. Wellbeing with Agnes was founded in order to educate people about mental health and the importance of taking care of our wellbeing.

Mindfulness plays a huge role in Agnes's work within the mental health sector, and it remains the most successful therapeutic intervention she has seen in practice. All of Agnes's services have mindfulness at their core.

What is

Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a powerful life skill that goes beyond formal meditation or mindfulness practices. At its core, mindfulness is the exercise of bringing attention to the present moment with an attitude of openness and curiosity. It is a way of training the mind to be more aware of what is happening around us and within us, and to respond to those experiences in a deliberate and intentional way.

One of the main benefits of mindfulness as a life skill is that it can help us to better manage our emotions and reactions. By practicing mindfulness, we can become more aware of our thoughts and feelings as they arise, and develop a greater ability to regulate them. We can use a mindful attitude to assist us in making decisions about relationships, our career and how we distribute our resources.
